Sim Roy Sampson
March 3, 1952 - March 21, 2025
Sim Roy Sampson of Daytona Beach transitioned from his earthly home to his Heavenly home on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the age of 73.
Sim Roy Sampson was born on a farm in Pavo, GA. He was born on a Monday, March 3, 1952, to the Late Amy Miller Sampson and Marion Sampson Sr. Amy and Marion moved to Ormond Beach, FL, with their children when Sim Roy was 6 months old. Sim Roy attended Rigby Elementary and Campbell High School in Daytona Beach, FL.
Sim Roy was a previous employee of Palm Furniture and Metra Electronics. He enjoyed drinking Pepsi and Black Coffee. His hobbies were going to the Kennell Club (Dog Track), Reading the daily newspaper, watching the daily news, Politics, and storytelling. He was very knowledgeable with family history and stayed in contact with as many family members from all over as he possibly could. Sim Roy also had a passion for spending time with his grandkids, educating and empowering them with every piece of knowledge he had to give to their young minds.
Preceded him in death: his parents, brother Marion Sampson Jr., and stepbrother William F. McCray, Sisters; Annie Lizzie Sampson Johnson, Reneea Sampson.
Sim Roy leaves behind to forever cherish his memories (2) daughters Bukeshewa Sampson, Brittany Yisrael(Benyamin), (3) sons; Robert Sampson, Simroy Sampson, Marlon Sampson Sr, (19) grandkids; Lashaela, Jasmine, Mariah, Lanesha, Malik, Tija, Emonee, Karleedo, Simroy (Kash), Madison, Alexis, Keara, Jada, Marlon Jr., Daniel, D’Andre, Za’vion, Marquis and Kashmere. His one and only loving niece, Florence Collins.
A host of family and friends including: Tommy, Bobby Postell, Rosa Sampson Brown, Bobby Jean George and Cindy.
