Roosevelt Scott Jr. was born on September 26, 1958, in Ocala, Florida to the late Roosevelt Scott Sr. and the late Gloria Thompson Scott. Roosevelt passed away on March 15, 2024, in Pensacola, Florida while visiting family.

He attended Volusia County Schools and graduated from Mainland Senior High School. Roosevelt had a successful career as a Landscaping Engineer. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Roosevelt Scott Sr. and Gloria Thompson Scott, his brother Christopher Scott, his sister Natalie Scott, and his son Tyree Scott.

He is survived by his daughter Tamika Wilmore, grandchildren: Raven Wilmore, Makayla Shabazz, Tyree Scott, and Tyreese Scott; a great-grandchild Aven Wilmore; a brother Louis Scott; nephew Jannarius Scott Jr., niece Sylvia Scott, and numerous other family members and friends.
