Rex Troutman Williams Obituary

Rex Ezra Troutman Williams

August 3, 2006 - August 12, 2024

Rex Ezra Troutman Williams was born on August 3, 2006, in State College, PA, to Rev. Dr. Algernon A. Williams of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Dr. Stephanie Troutman Robbins, of Tucson, Arizona. Rex walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 12, 2024, at the age of 18. Rex was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Sr, and Joan Williams, along with a host of family members.

Rex is survived by his parents, Rev. Dr. Algernon A. Williams of Lancaster, PA, and Dr. Stephanie Troutman Robbins of Tucson, AZ; bonus parents, Dr. Kesha Morant Williams, and Dr. Sherard Robbins; three brothers, Jackson Alexander Williams, Mitchell Keith Williams both of Lancaster, PA, and Slayden Robbins, of Tucson Arizona; one sister, Malora Hutchinson of Tucson, AZ; grandparents, Elder Willie J. Morant Sr and Evangelist Frances Morant of Lancaster, PA; and a devoted Aunt F. Selena Morant of Eugene Oregon, six loving Uncles John H. Williams of Deland, Florida, Walter Williams of Miami, Florida, Audron Butler, and Andre Butler of Florida, Willie J. Morant Jr., of York, PA, and Jaime; great Uncle Ervin Frazier of Brooklyn NY and a host cousins, relatives, and friends.

Rex encountered several moves early in his life.

After moving to Arizona, Rex attended Primavera Online School in Phoenix. He graduated high school in July 2024 and was set to start college at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff this fall.

Rex was a lover of music, Marvel, DC, and anime movies, and during his young life watched all the movies and read as many comic books as possible. He also enjoyed skateboarding and video games and was becoming a sneaker head. When Rex was younger, there wasn't a fire station, firetruck, or ambulance, which he did not like. Many know the firefighter boots he would never take off.

Rex really enjoyed our family impromptu get-togethers, family trips, spending time with his cousins and family members.

Rex loved intellectual conversation, spirited debates on various topics, and helping others discover a brighter side of a concern.

The Rex Ezra Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to carry on the memory of an amazing human. The scholarship will be given to vibrant young individuals with a deep love for music, social media, video games, and skateboarding. This scholarship celebrates the creativity, innovation, and adventurous spirit that Rex embodied.

This scholarship fund will honor Rex's life by helping other young adults in pursuit of higher education. Donations for the scholarship can be made by going to www.rememberingrexezra.com by mail or in person.

Rex will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He was the intelligent, loving, fun kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandson, and friend.

The staff of Alonia's Cremation & Urns extends our heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Williams.
