 Mrs. Rebecca G. Butler was born to the union of the late David and the late Mary Lee Gibson on July 18, 1956, in Oak Hill, Florida.

A TIME TO DIE

Mrs. Butler passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Indigo Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Daytona Beach, Florida.  She was preceded in death by her parents David and Mary Lee Gibson; her husband Jerome Butler, Sr.; her son Jerome Butler Jr.; one brother Jessie Gibson, three sisters: Betty Edwards, Carrie Jackson and Eva Mae Green.   

A TIME TO LIVE

Mrs. Rebecca attended and graduated from Volusia County Schools.  She worked as a Housekeeper in the Hotel/Motel Industry.  Mrs. Rebecca accepted the Lord as her Personal Savior and became a member of Bibleway Church of God In Christ in Oak Hill, Florida.  Mrs. Rebecca loved her family and helping others when she was able.  She also loved shopping and quiet time with the Lord.  Her favorite two guys are her brothers Clyde and Authur Gibson, whom she loved dearly.  

A TIME TO CHERISH

Mrs. Rebecca leaves to cherish her memory two brothers: Authur Gibson and Clyde Gibson (Catherine) all of Oak Hill, Florida; two sisters: Hattie Hosey (Eddie) of West Palm Beach, Florida and Lillie Ivey of Buffalo, New York; one daughter-in-law Gigi of Daytona Beach, Florida; one granddaughter Ms. Butler of Panama City, Florida; one Goddaughter Rashandra Ivy of Daytona Beach, Florida; one Godson Jonathan Gibson of Clearwater, Florda.  Also, celebrating her memory are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
