Mrs. Eva Lee Mitchell of Daytona Beach, Florida transitioned to her Heavenly Home on Monday, December 2, 2024.

Mrs. Eva Lee Linder Mitchell, born December 19th, 1936 in Smoaks, SC passed December 02, 2024, at Advent Health Daytona Beach, FL.

Eva was a lifelong member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She worked 19 1/2 years at Halifax Hospital as a dietary aide, she was a licensed cosmetologist, and also worked until her retirement at Volusia County Head Start program as a school teacher. Eva was preceded in death by parents Frank and Phylis Devoe, sisters Geneva Ellis and Donnye Nattiel, son Billy Jackson, grandson Chandler Rushing, and infant granddaughter Courtney Mitchell. She leaves to cherish her memories, children Saundra Willis, Curtis Mitchell(Casandra), Bruce Mitchell, and Claire Rushing. Grandkids Corey, Christel, Brandon, Christopher, Chelsea, Caitlin, Curtis III, Caleb, Camille, and Corrine, great grands Kyiesha, Zion, Brandon Jr., Sophia, and Sebastian, and a host of other family and friends. Eva enjoyed spending time with her family, completing word find puzzle books, and watching the game show network channel. Eva passed peacefully surrounded by family just 17 days short of her 88th birthday.
