Joshua Miller Sr.
May 19, 1944 - April 8, 2025
Joshua Miller Sr, 80, answered the Lord's call on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
Joshua was born in Sanford, FL, and he moved to Daytona Beach while he was in high school with his sister and brother-in-law, The Late Rev. James and Mrs. Vivian (Miller) Golden. He was a 1963 graduate of Campbell Sr. High School and a member of the John H. Dickerson Community Center Dynamic Senior Oasis Club, a big fan of the Bethune-Cookman University Wildcats Football Team and often traveled with the team to see them play. He was a member of New Heart Christian Center, under the leadership of his cousin Bishop George E. Butts Sr.
Joshua was also the last survivor of his siblings of 14 children. Joshua is survived by his two sons, Lamerus Miller of Rochester, New York, and Terrance Pearson of Daytona Beach; a brother-in-law, Willie Dennis, Jr. of Sanford; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His presence will be greatly missed by our family, his church family, and friends.
The staff of Alonia's Cremation & Urns extends our heartfelt condolences to the Miller family.
