Derrick Carn Sr.
November 9, 1975 - April 22, 2025
Derrick Carn Sr. was born on November 9, 1975, in Daytona Beach, Florida, to Andrew Carn Sr. and the late Helen Smith Carn. Derrick entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Derrick remained rooted in the community that shaped his generous spirit and loving heart.
Derrick was a man who found joy in life’s simple blessings — sharing a meal, casting a line, laughing with loved ones, and making memories that will be treasured forever. Derrick was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loyal friend, and his greatest joy and purpose in life was his family. He poured his heart into ensuring they were loved, protected, and uplifted.
Derrick had a rewarding career as an over the road truck driver, partnering with his loving wife, Iresha and twin brother Eric Carn.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Iresha Carn, and their children: Derrick Carn Jr., Byron Carn, Danai Carn, and Derica Carn; his father, Andrew Carn Sr.; four sisters: Helena, Deborah, Robin, and Gussie; two brothers: Eric Carn and Richard Carn. His memory is also held dearly by a host of extended family and close friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor, and unwavering love.
Derrick is reunited in peace with his mother, Helen Smith Carn; his brothers, Andrew Carn Jr. and Danny Carn Sr.; and his cherished son, Daemon Carn.
His life was a living example of strength, compassion, and unconditional love. Derrick’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
