Calvin Floyd Duggans
January 4, 1950 - May 19, 2025
Calvin Floyd Duggans, 75, a former resident of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, in Macon, Georgia.
Calvin Floyd Duggans was born on January 4, 1950, in Davisboro, Georgia, to the late Eugene Duggans and Margaret Yorker Duggans. He obtained his early education in Georgia. In 1969, he married Charlene Small, and three children, Calvin Jr., Leticia, and Atawa, were born into this union.
Calvin joined the United States Army in 1970, serving during the Vietnam War. While enlisted, Calvin received several commendations and badges to include the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and a Bronze Star; he also received a Parachute Badge and the M-16 Expert Badge. Calvin was honorably discharged from the Army in 1973. He relocated to Daytona Beach, Florida and enrolled in Bethune Cookman College, now Bethune Cookman University in 1975. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1979.
Calvin was a dedicated father and grandfather with a passion for shooting.
He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Duggans and his sister Susie Bell Yorker.
Calvin leaves to cherish his memory three children: Calvin Duggans Jr., Leticia Williams, and Atawa Duggans Brown all of Rochester, New York; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; mother Margaret Yorker Duggans of Daytona Beach, Florida; brothers: Marion “Bill” O’Neal Duggans (Mildred), Eugene Todd all of Daytona Beach, Florida, and William Duggans (Lyngrid) of California; sisters: Tewana Duggans of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Tina Phillip (Allen) of California; uncle Rev. Eddie L. Yorker (Evelyn) of Daytona Beach, Florida; aunts: Mamie Yorker and Annie Mytice Giles both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; special friend Brenda Scott, best friend Willie Williams; Elois Duggans (ex-wife) of Macon, Georgia and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
The staff of Alonia's Cremation & Urns extends our heartfelt condolences to the Duggans family.
Processional for burial at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery is in Lane C.
